November Blog #2 Propaganda

1) What ideas, information, or rumors does this artifact of propaganda attempt to spread?
The Idea of this ad is trying to show how our industry (mainly the oil industry) and global warming is destroying the polar bear’s home (and also other living animals in that region). In the ad the polar bear is walking away from no more ice area and onto the what is left of the tundra because as you can see in the ground the ice is cracking so the polar bears are forced to move onto the tundra that they have left, why because our oil industry is destroying their homes through global farming (or climate change).

2) What institution, cause, or person is it trying to help or hurt? Explain.
I believe this ad is trying to help the cause to reduce the amount of global warming we give off and also to help save the polar bears from dying, because before the vast oil industries the tundra was fine but now as shown in the picture the industries are destroying the landscape.

3) What do you think is the most persuasive element of this propaganda? Why?
I believe the most persuasive element of my picture are the polar bears themselves, mostly because without them the picture would not make much sense. I would still make sense like our industries are destroying the tundra but with the polar bear we see that there is life in the tundra and for that we must save the land and the polar bears.

Parent blog input August #4

me gustaria que Gustavo en un futuro no muy lejano fuera a la Universidad para llegar a ser un profesionista. y ayudara con sus conocimientos adquiridos y los llevara a la practica a su comunidad.
The power for the president to disable the internet in times of emergencies would be catastrophic to our country. Since our country is very dependent on various sources including electronics shutting down the internet would dramatically affect our country even if for a little while.
People nowadays are adapted and accustomed into using the internet and have even make it part of their daily lives. Taking the internet away if only for a moment would disrupt the order in airports and in hospitals also police stations or prisons. Airports and hospitals are important matters on which to note on because these two greatly rely on internet access in order to keep things running smoothly by keeping files or schedules on when events will occur. Whether it’s from a normal house to a powerful business of some sort internet is used in all of these places so as you can see internet affects several places in different areas.
Since this is still being considered that doesn’t exactly mean that the need to have an emergency shutdown for internet will be passed. Before the plan is made though I suggest that the president thinks very carefully about it before it is passed.

Aristotelian appeals of "Backwords"

Pathos: The speakers has a tone of voice that sounds like an caring person which means he is trying to make us feel comfortable so that our families just like the one at the end of the video may consider voting Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor and take the next step of starting a better future.

Logos: The statement that was made regarding the $10 billion is an implication to how that the money is unnecessary and the people of this state are in no need of spending more money in tax increases for that is seen as a step backwards.

Ethos: At the end of the video where it shows the little children running forward. It shows Arnold Schwarzenegger name implying that if we vote him governor he will send us on the right path (moving forward) or a better future.
